Product Description
Oscar Valladares & Co. made a name for themselves with the off-the-wall series LEAF by Oscar, where a collection of blends were packaged in an additional tobacco leaf; used in place of cellophane for the cigar's protection. This fan-favorite series was followed by the more premium The Oscar Habano in 2016, where Oscar Valladares and his factory in Honduras produced their first cigar with Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Only one year later, fans were introduced to the sequel, with The Oscar. Like its predecessor, The Oscar is crafted in Honduras and finished in Oscar's signature candela tobacco leaf protection. Not only does this make for a striking and contrasting appearance, but the added leaf imparts its oils to the cigar while resting. Adding to the uniqueness of this fun series, The Oscar is packaged in 11-count boxes that are designed to resemble the cigar molds used at factories.
The Oscar Maduro is built using Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos in the cigar's filler; the binder is Honduran; and the wrapper replaces the original's Ecuadorian Habano with a dark and oily Mexican San Andrés variant. The new maduro blend showcases rich flavors of espresso powder, charred oak, baker's cocoa, sweet coffee creamer, and roasted nuts—all delivered in a medium to medium-plus body that can be smoked most any time of day.
