2011's addition to the Padron Family Reserve line was scheduled to be called the No. 47, but since this is the year Jorge O. Padron turns 85 years old, the name has been changed to No. 85 in his honor. This is a superb cigar like the others in the line, a shorter robusto than the No. 46, made with rare tobaccos that are aged 10 years.
Received Top 25 honors for 2013 (#4 overall) and a well-deserved 94-rating noting: "The Nicaraguan cigars are complex and earthy, with a touch of herbal flavors and a black cherry and black truffle note."
Medium-bodied Nicaraguan puros full of richness and flavor with notes of pepper, spice, leather, and chocolate. As with the entire Family Reserve line, this cigar is an absolute pleasure to smoke.
